The software keeps moving
toward the work.

Rinsebase ships most weekdays. This is the record of what changed and which part of your operation it touches — not a roadmap, not a launch page. Everything here is already in the product.

Most software companies announce features once a quarter, at a launch, after a year of silence. We don't have a launch. We have owners who tell us what the product got wrong this week — and most of what follows started as one of those messages.

You will notice the entries are small and specific. A clean that stayed reachable the morning after. A pull sheet that finally printed. A client who stopped getting texts they never agreed to. That is what running a cleaning company is actually made of, and it is what the platform has to get right before any of the big words on the rest of this site mean anything.

Customers don't have to come looking for any of this — a short version goes out by email every week, written by me. This page is the long version, and the one you can link to.

September 2026

The money you're owed, and who hears what.

The dashboard
  • Today comes first. The dashboard opens on the cleans in flight, the crews on them, and what needs a decision. The business numbers moved underneath, where you go looking for them.
  • A clean left open overnight stays reachable the next morning instead of dropping off with yesterday.
  • Every job has a number now — one you can say out loud to a crew lead on the phone instead of reading out a link.
What your clients hear
  • Set it per client, not per company. Decide for each account what their portal shows and what reaches their inbox — clean photos, status emails, texts — instead of one switch for everybody.
  • Texts go only to clients who agreed to be texted.
  • Client reminders hold until 8am rather than landing overnight.
  • Hide a photo from the client without deleting it from your own record of the clean.
Getting paid
  • Bank payments and old payment links are reconciled against the invoice, so one clean is charged once.
  • A resent invoice reads as the same bill, not a new one.
  • A client's portal totals every invoice they hold, not just the most recent page of them.
  • Refunds and chargebacks reverse the invoice balance, and post through to QuickBooks and Xero.
Payroll
  • Push a finished pay period into Gusto instead of retyping it. Hours and flat-rate earnings land in the open Gusto payroll and are left unprocessed — you review and run it there. Rinsebase does not run payroll, move money, or file taxes.
  • Add a bonus straight from the payroll row, without opening it.
Linen & supplies
  • Add extra linen to a single turnover without changing the property's standing par level.
  • The pull sheet counts only the cleans that are actually happening.
  • A long pull sheet prints properly.
  • Type in a guest count when the calendar feed doesn't send one.
Scheduling
  • Jump straight to a date instead of paging to it.
  • The property tape chart is a place you schedule, not just a place you read.
  • A dragged clean lands where the cursor is, not where the card overlapped.
  • Pick the inspector at the moment you schedule the inspection.
Things you should hear about
  • A client email that bounces now surfaces as an exception — and if it's your own address that's failing, you're told in the one place you'll see it.
  • Optional texts when a clean starts and when a crew is on the way.
  • Crews get the notification at the moment they're assigned.
  • A warning when a clean is scheduled after the guest has already arrived.
Photo proof
  • Reference shots on the web job view, so the crew can see the shot they're meant to match.
  • Fill a shot list one photo at a time instead of all at once.
  • An incident is filed from the room you're standing in, and reaches everyone who should see it.
August 2026

The quality layer landed — one checklist, room by room.

The Turnover Checklist
  • Checklists and photo requirements became one thing. The crew works room by room, and the shots required in that room travel with it instead of living in a separate list.
  • Save a room as a template — one “primary bath” you apply to every property that has one.
  • VERIFY items can be marked passed, failed, or not applicable. A skipped check is no longer a passed check.
  • Optionally hold completion until the required items are done.
Quality & inspections
  • An inspector role, so inspections can be staffed and paid like the work they are.
  • Inspection results push back to the cleaners who did the clean.
  • The quality report measures evidence from the photos actually linked to requirements — not the count of photos taken.
  • A defect is attributed to the room it happened in.
What a clean actually leaves
  • Profit by property — what a clean leaves after crew pay, supplies, linen and overhead.
  • The properties costing more in crew pay than they bill, named rather than buried.
  • Recurring contracts forecast across their whole term instead of the next few weeks.
Pay
  • Tips run through payroll and show in the crew's own pay view.
  • Hourly crew are paid their hours plus a real lead bonus.
  • One-off bonuses and adjustments on any pay period.
  • A warning when someone is working without a pay rate set.
Invoicing
  • “Due on receipt” as a real term, and zero days no longer quietly means thirty.
  • Resend an invoice, not just send a reminder about it.
  • Monthly retainer clients stop being billed per clean on top of the retainer.
  • The guest's stay dates appear on the invoice. Your cleaners' names don't.
  • Canadian companies bill in CAD; ACH bank payments are available on connected accounts.
Calendar sync
  • A block is read as a block. Owner stays, vendor holds, repairs and long-term holds across Hostaway, Evolve, Lodgify, Hospitable and OwnerRez stop being read as guest stays and minting cleans nobody ordered.
  • A stay that moves to a different property takes its clean with it, across all four native integrations.
  • When two feeds carry the same booking, it collapses into one clean.
  • A connect invite that has expired says so, instead of silently doing nothing.
Your crew
  • The crew app speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.
  • The completion gate speaks Spanish too, so a blocked cleaner can read why they're blocked.
  • A crew invite that has expired shows as expired, not “waiting for them to log in.”
  • Cap how many cleaners a property takes, and have the cap actually hold.
Day to day
  • Create a job by searching the property — the client fills itself in.
  • Select a batch of jobs and assign crew in one action.
  • A company-wide default checklist you can bulk apply or clear.
  • Commercial properties get their own supplies starter kit; supplies can be tracked per room.
  • Pause every automatic client notification account-wide with one switch, for the weeks you need quiet.
July 2026

Invoicing rebuilt on one engine — and the Blueprint went out free.

Invoicing, rebuilt
  • One pricing engine, one payment path, one balance. An invoice is priced the same way whether the crew completed the clean or you raised it yourself.
  • A deposit taken at booking is credited to the invoice instead of being billed a second time.
  • Refunds and chargebacks reverse the invoice balance down that same path, instead of leaving an invoice reading paid.
  • Gift cards are issued against a verified payment, server-side.
Forecasting
  • Forecasted revenue from cleans already on the calendar — a KPI strip, month bars, and a calendar and table you can work from.
The quality loop
  • Defect and rework capture, corrective actions, and pattern detection across properties and crews.
  • A quality KPI dashboard, and a record of every inspection filed.
Properties in bulk
  • A bulk editor carrying price, crew pay and lead pay — and check-in/check-out times standardised in one apply.
  • Save a shot list as a reusable template and apply it across properties, replacing rather than always appending.
  • Name your own checklist categories; they're suggested across the whole account after that.
Portals
  • Portal links expire, rotate, and can be revoked — and tokens no longer travel into analytics.
  • Property-manager portals paginate, hide archived properties, and order upcoming cleans by date.
  • Clients can see their own booking requests on the portal calendar.
Safety & access
  • The SOS siren sounds, and keeps sounding; Dispatch shows the real name on the alert rather than “Crew member.”
  • Deactivating a team member ends their session immediately.
  • Client contact details, payroll and sync configuration are scoped to the roles that need them — a cleaner sees their work, not your book.
Integrations
  • Hostaway joined the live API integrations alongside Guesty, OwnerRez and Hospitable.
  • Xero connect — in beta — so accounting isn't QuickBooks-only.
Published, not shipped

Common questions

About how we ship

How often does Rinsebase ship? +
Most weekdays. Rinsebase is continuously deployed, not run on a quarterly release cycle. The entries on this page are grouped by month so they can be read, not because they shipped in a batch.
Where do these changes come from? +
Almost all of it comes from operators. An owner, a crew lead, or a property manager hits something the product handles badly, says so, and it gets fixed — often the same week. Rinsebase was built from inside the cleaning industry and it is still built that way.
Do I have to check this page to keep up? +
No. Every Rinsebase customer gets a short “what’s new” email once a week, written by the founder rather than generated, and you can reply to it. This page is the permanent record behind those emails — useful for catching up on a month you missed, or for sending someone a link.
Do I have to do anything to get new features? +
No. New work reaches your account automatically, and the web app tells you when your tab is running an old build so you can reload it. Anything that changes how your clients or crew are treated — notifications, portal visibility, completion rules — ships switched to the safe setting and stays under your control.
Is everything on this page already in the product? +
Yes. This page records what has shipped, not what is planned. Work still in development stays off it until it is in the product and running for customers.
